Editor Charles H. Smith's Note: Wallace added the following brief introductory note to a
new edition of the book Psychic Philosophy as the Foundation of a Religion of Natural
Law by V. C. Desertis, published in 1909 (see S519 for Wallace's rather longer
introductory note to the first edition, in 1895). The new note was placed on page vi, right

The author having referred me to the more important changes in the present issue of his book,
and having read the proofs of the last chapter which is wholly new, and with which I fully agree, I
