Course Objectives: To familiarize students with linguistics
as an area of study. To introduce students to the vocabulary and
sub-areas of linguistic analysis.

Assignments: Grades will be based on a total points accumulated system --(points earned / points possible) x 100 There are 3000 points possible for the course. Graduate students will be expected to complete assignment with greater care and their content should be more sophisticated than undergraduates.
