NATALIDAE (Funnel-eared
Bats)
The Natalidae is a family of microchiropteran bats consisting of three living
genera:
Chilonatalus (two species,
Greater Antilles and the Bahamas), Natalus (five species,
West Indies,
Mexico,
Central America, northern
and central South America), and
Nyctiellus lepidus (Cuba and the
Bahamas).
The
distribution of Natalus in South
America is still poorly known.
