GALAGIDAE
(Bushbabies and Galagos)
The Galagidae is a family of Subsaharan primates consisting of about nineteen
living species
classified into three genera: Euoticus (two species, central equatorial
Africa), Galago (fourteen
species,
to the limits mapped), and Otolemur (East Africa and southcentral
Africa). Galagid
species are
present on the islands of Bioko, Mafia, Zanzibar, and Pemba.
