FURIPTERIDAE
The Furipteridae is a family of microchiropteran bats consisting of two
living species:
Furipterus horrens
(southern Central America, and northern and central South America),
and Amorphochilus
schnablii (coastal Ecuador, Peru, and Chile). The limits of distribution
of F.
horrens are still poorly known at
this point.
