CTENODACTYLIDAE
(Gundis)
The Ctenodactylidae is a small family of Old World rodents of uncertain
derivation.
There are
four living genera, with five species: Ctenodactylus (two species,
Saharan
and near-Saharan
North Africa), Felovia (one species, Mauritania, Senegal and Mali),
Massoutiera (one
species,
Saharan Algeria, Libya, Mali, Niger and Chad), and
Pectinator (one
species, Horn of Africa).
