Hints for maximizing your employability

Pursue a minor or second major that is skills-oriented.
Take skills-related courses in psychology (e.g., Interviewing, Behavior Modification) and other departments.
Choose student work experiences that will open up possible careers, or at least inform you if you are not interested in an area.
Take an internship course or community placement course.
Develop effective writing, speaking, and technology skills.
Use your Career Advisement and Placement Office to learn how to write an effective resume writing and to develop your skills for job interviews.
