    • Copying reference is a rewarding way to improve your 3d modeling skills.
    • Copying teaches you how a modeler faces and solves fundamental modeling problems.
    • One way to check your accuracy is to place both the original and your copy and compare them side by side.
  • Turn in ONE Maya file that contains all models on Bb.

Assignment 2
  • Use modeling techniques you have learned to derive more than five different forms.
  • Pay close attention to overall wire frame mesh on your objects. It should look clean and neat.
  • No worries about colors, textures…
  • Turn in ONE Maya file on Bb.
  • Name it properly. ***i.e. Joon.Sung_your chosen theme.mb

Assignment 3
  • Apply textures (colors) on your objects to make them look more believable.
  • Use solid colors only. Realistic or complex textures may not fit to your 3d models.
  • Submit a Maya file on Bb.

Assignment 4
  • Create an arrangement of your 3d models you've created in Maya.
  • You can add more objects for better look of your scene.
  • Use light(s), which may or may not be coloured, to create interesting patterns of light and shadow.
  • All rendered images must be different viewpoints of a single composition. Have at least 10 rendered views of your scene as jpeg or png with full HD (1920px x 1080px)
  • Compress them into a single zip file then turn it in on Blackboard.

Assignment 5
 
  • Create an animation by animating camera(s).
  • Use camera angles creatively.
  • Nothing in your scene may be animated, except for the camera(s)
  • Have a static shot(s)
    • A static shot in animated film is a shot that is devoid of camera movement (AKA a locked-off shot, or an immobile shot)
    • The frame can be filled with the movement of vehicles, characters, weather, etc, but the frame itself does not move in a static shot

  • Format: MP4
  • Dimension: 1920 x 1080px
  • Length: 10 seconds
  • Name your files properly! first_lastname.mp4
