How to Use Those Numbers and Letters in the Margin

"332" means the text beginning where 332 is found in the margin and ending with the line just before 333.

"332a" means the text beginning where 332 is found and ending with the line just before the next "b" in the margin.

"332b" means the text beginning at the "b" after "332" and ending with the line just before the next "c" in the margin. "332b-c" begins at the same place but ends with the line just before the next "d" in the margin.

"332b1" means the very line on which the "b" after "332" occurs.

"332c2-4" means the second through fourth lines after the "c" after "332" in the margin (more accurately, the first through third lines after the line on which the "c" occurs).
