Prepare the trial balance on a spreadsheet for year 20X7.  Complete the column headings for the worksheet in accordance to the scheme presented in class.
09/18/2014 Identify any extraordinary items experienced by Casey. You should make any necessary entries on your spreadsheet for the extraordinary item(s), and the relocation loss, 
09/23/2014 Make any necessary entries on the worksheet relating to the the disposal of the Sluggo Division.
Ignore any tax effects given in the case.  Calculate your own tax effects on the disposal items.
09/25/2014 Make appropriate entries related to the change in accounting principle.

Identify any changes in accounting estimate(s) and decide how they should be dealt with in the solution to your case.
Are there any error corrections necessary in year 7?  Year 6? 

10/07/2014 Have year X7 worksheet completed; Read the help and hints for the Tax Calculations. Will answer any questions on completing year X7 --but you have to have questions to answer!!
10/21/2014 Have year 6 worksheet completed : remember to use copy command to save time.  Copy year 7 worksheet to year 6. Erase year 7trial balance and adjustments: enter year 6 trial balance; make appropriate adjustments to year 6--there will be less year 6 adjustments than year 7!

10/28/2014  Have EPS completed. --EPS calculations for both years.  
11/04/2014 Have financial statements (except for cash flow statement) and footnotes completed  

check figures:
Net income for year 7:  $20,935
Cost of goods sold for year 7:  $297,759
diluted earnings per share for net income, year 7:  $2.01
Total assets for year 7:  $241,711


You may bring a printed copy of your

A.  revised comparative balance sheet for years X7 and X6
B.  revised comparative income statement for years X7 and X6

to the final exam. Questions will be asked on the final exam concerning items on these financial statements.

FINAL EXAMINATION

Remember that the Final Examination is comprehensive in nature.All material covered this semester will be subject for inclusion on the final with the following exception: The sections on Introduction and Rule-making will not be covered on the final examination.The final examination will contain 80 multiple choice questions/problems.

Final examination will be given in accordance with University final examination schedule.
