This
was Chip's first custom job, but since he has been painting role-playing
miniatures for several years, it just seemed natural. The Atom was
made from a Star Wars Micromachine Rebel Fleet Trooper. The gun was
cut from his hand, and his helmet was trimmed down so that it resembled
hair. Then he was painted with acrylics, using both washes and drybrushing
to accentuate the details.
This base was perfect for the current Atom. He already has a vest with many pockets, and his pose was very TJ-like -- static and unchanging. I suppose this figure was Chip's defiant way of saying that the Atom belongs with the Justice League, not with the Teen Titans.
