KID FLASH | ||||

I
chose this base for Kid Flash because his pose displayed more action than the
typical animated figure. The original figure had many ridges and grooves
which had to be sanded down, which took a lot of time. After cutting
down the ridges with a dremel, I filled in the grooves with green contour
putty.
I also opted to thin his waistline a touch -- the base figure flares at the hips. Finally, I trimmed down the hair and then sanded it before painting with acrylic paints. The painting was almost as difficult as the smoothing because of the Kid Flash's yellow and red color scheme.
