there are two anthropologists in the Anthropology Program at WKU.

Darlene Applegate, Assistant Professor
(B.A., Anthropology and Geology, Miami University; M.A., Ph.D., Anthropology,
The Ohio State University)
Professor Applegate is
an archaeologist with a background in geology and physical anthropology.
She teaches courses in archaeology and physical anthropology. Her areas
of expertise are Eastern Woodlands archaeology and prehistory, rockshelter
archaeology, and lithic analysis. She advises the undergraduate Anthropology
Club and oversees the WKU Archaeology
Lab.

Lindsey King, Assistant Professor
(B.A. ; M.A., Heritage Preservation ; Ph.D., Anthropology, University
of Tennessee Knoxville)
Professor King is a cultural anthropologist with a background in preservation.
She teaches courses in cultural anthropology. She advises Lambda
Alpha, the undergraduate anthropology honorary.
