Christopher L. Brown

Professor Brown is an Associate Professor of Finance and the Chair of the Department of Finance, Gordon Ford College of Business Administration, Western Kentucky University.  He earned his Ph.D. degree from Oklahoma State University.  He earned his M.B.A. and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees from the University of Central Arkansas.  He specializes in Corporate Finance, Bank Management, and Financial Markets and Institutions.

Professor Brown worked as a savings and loan examiner for five years.  During that time, he earned the designation Accredited Thrift Regulator, and was named "Most Outstanding Examiner - Eastern Operations" (Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi) of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas.

Professor Brown's research has been published in the International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Real Estate Research, the Academy of Accounting and Financial Studies Journal, the Journal of Commercial Banking and Finance, the Journal of Marketing Education and the Journal of Accounting and Finance Research.  He is a member of the Financial Management Association.
