Ryu fits the movie sterotype for an Asian gang member. He keeps his black hair spiked, wears black shades day and night, wears all black clothing, and holds a third-degree black belt in Kyokushinkai karate. His temperment is one of borderline daredevil mixed with a cocky bully. He stays calm and cool at all times and walks, talks and smirks like he could kick anyone's ass at any moment. Unlike many bullies, Ryu is fully willing to attempt to prove his skills against any challenger. Ryu rides around on a midnight black Kawasaki motorcycle, hits on women, and behaves like a person half his age.
Despite his attitude, Ryu is an accomplished Death Dealer, with several dead Lycans to his name. His choice of sawed-off shotgun with silver shot reveals his willingness to be up close and personal with his enemy. Ryu's vampire hunger manifests itself as only the Ventrue clan can; he will only feed from a person he has beaten senseless.
