Game Session 01 - October 14, 2006
Setup
Tonight, infamous mafioso Don Alfonse Giovanni was arrested very publicly during a theatre performance. The media was on stand-by and took numerous pictures of the enigmatic crime lord as he was placed in custody and driven away in a patrol car. He is currently at the 30th precinct and will be transported to an undisclosed location tonight. Unfortunately, this puts the Masquerade at great risk because the Don is a vampire. If he is carted about in daylight, he will burst into flames and threaten the security of vampires around the globe. This must not happen.
Lycans are suspected to be behind the arrest and will no doubt attempt to make sure Giovanni's spontaneous destruction is as public and graphic as possible. Other crime families may also take this opportunity to take a shot at Don Giovanni. He has been considered untouchable (due to his supernatural bodyguards) for years, and some are likely to assume the police easier to get through than the Don's men. If an assassination attempt takes place, the Masquerade will still be threatened due to the Don's resistance to wounds and obvious differences in vampire anatomy if taken to a hospital.
The police must be prevented from keeping Don Giovanni in custody. Bribery of judges has already failed, and now things must turn violent. An all-out assault on the 30th precinct is too public. The Don must either be retrieved in transit to a safe house, or preferably retrieved once he arrives. Finding the location will be difficult, because few know where he is going, and there are certain to be Lycans and rival mafia enforcers attempting to tail the police transports.
Your primary directive is the retrieval of Don Giovanni by any means necessary and preserve the Masquerade. Your secondary directives are as follows. All Lycans are considered targets of opportunity in this mission. Rival mafia enforcers should not be actively hunted but are secondary targets of opportunity if necessary for the success of the mission. Police and civilian injuries or casualties should be kept to a minimum. The goal is not stir up an undue amount of attention, and injured police are always a focus for the media. As always, you are expendable.
Results
The Death Dealers located Don Alfonse Giovanni and raided a warehouse where he was being held. They routed the mafia enforcers holding him, but a stray bullet from Johnny Dean caused a vehicle explosion, killing the Don.
Game Session 02 - November 18, 2006
Setup
The Houses are very upset at the failure of the Death Dealers to safely rescue Don Alfonse Giovanni. His death has caused a backblast of upheaval both in the mortal underworld and the vampire. After several months of infighting, the Don's organization has fallen, with survivors joining other families or disappearing all together. It has become obvious that the Massoli crime family was behind the Don's capture (and subsequent death). They have also become the top dog in the mortal crime syndicate in the past few months.
The Houses have learned Lycans are supplementing the strength of the Massoli family; the werewolves seem to be using a vampire trick and using mortals to bolster their own wealth and power. This cannot stand. The youngest of the Massoli family males, Tony "the Weasel" Massoli, has learned of his family's involvement with "wild men", as he calls them. He knows things are wrong and wants his family out of contact with these crazies. Our own operatives, pretending to be mortal and know all about these "wild men", have convinced Tony to let us "help" him. He has arranged for his father, Don Mariano Massoli, and brother, Paul Massoli, to both be at one of the family homes for an important meeting. They have been told they are meeting with a representative of the Scotto crime family. Of course, no one from the Scotto family is coming.
Your primary directive is to raid the house and kill both Mariano and Paul Massoli. You are provided a layout of the mansion as well as the photographs of the mafia wiseguys. It is certain the area will be heavily guarded with mafia muscle. We also suspect several Lycans will be on the premises. Consider all Lycans secondary targets of opportunity. Unless you engage in a prolonged firefight, the police should not be a factor; however, if they become involved, police casualties are to be avoided at all costs. Your final secondary objective is to plant the body of Alwan Rhys, a soldier from a Jamaican posse attempting to become a player in the criminal underworld. Planting his body should help confuse the blame for this hit and possibly result in retaliations against the Jamaican posses. Naturally, we want the body as fresh as possible, so you will have to execute him on site. Leave none of your own behind as evidence. As always, you are expendable.
Results
The Death Dealers succeeded in slaying the Massoli crime bosses as well as planting Alwan Rhys' body. Unfortunately, they left call girl, Sally Willis, alive as a witness who told everyone it was an Asian man, not the Jamaicans who killed the Massolis. During the raid, Johnny Dean was decapitated by a werewolf and met Final Death.
