Biography

History
Roger was born and raised in a military family. His father was a Marine and uncle in the Navy. His choice to join the Army did not sit well in the family, but Roger has always hated the ocean. Oddly enough, he never feared jumping out of airplanes, and thus he became an Army Ranger.
Roger saw combat in Panama in Operation Just Cause as well as in Iraq in Desert Storm and Bosnia before fully retiring from military life. His retirement was going very well until his family purchased a modest home in Connecticut. They soon discovered the house was haunted, and something possessed Roger's wife. In a night of horror, the spirit drove her into a violent spree, killing her children, mutilating herself, and injuring Roger. Unable to save his family, Roger was forced to kill his wife and burn down the home in an effort to banish the spirit. Unbeknownst to Roger, the spirit was released, but only from confinement in the home. It still tracks him to this day seeking to one day bring him to yet another level of despair.
Roger is a diligent hunter who seeks to destroy any supernatural forces he encounters. He does not believe any supernatural entity can be a source of good, and he punctuates this sentiment with bullets. He is very eager to punish those entities that harm others, and his brand of justice is brutal and swift.
- What did you do before the Hunt? Retired Army Ranger.
- Where did you learn your skills? Military.
- How did you acquire your equipment, and does any of it have special meaning? Purchased from old Army buddies and contacts.
- Do you have surviving family? Mother? Father? Siblings? Spouse? Do you stay in touch? Parents are alive, but his family was killed by a spirit.
- What is your biggest fear? Recurring nightmare of his mutilated wife slaughtering their children.
- What makes you laugh out loud? A sailor getting humiliated.
- What makes you angry? Anything supernatural.
- What talent would you most like to have? He would like to have the vitality of youth once again so as to be even more effective in the Vigil.
