Article TitleBy Toby French, IINMarch 16, 2075 (IIN) Terror ripped through the Fort Lewis Zoological Gardens this afternoon when two basilisks escaped their habitat and consumed a nearby zoo patron, Roger Wilkes. Mr. Wilkes is survived by his wife, Amber, and daughter, Ellen, who both witnessed the attack. The zoo was evacuated quickly, and the UCAS Army was able to sedate and recapture the basilisks. Investigators believe there is a connection to the basilisks' escape and the death of FBI Special Agent Seth Dietrich. Agent Dietrich was found dead near the exhibit, having been shot by a high-powered rifle. Agent Dietrich joined the FBI's Criminal Investigation Division (CID) after leaving the UCAS Army. He was well-known as a thorough and tenacious investigator with an impressive career closing difficult cases. Robert Johansson, FBI Liaison Officer for the Seattle office, says, "Agent Dietrich was beyond reproach, the kind of agent exemplifying the values of law and justice. His murder is a travesty, and we will exhaust all resources to discover his killer." Officials plan to re-open the zoo in three days due to the ongoing crime scene investigation and necessary repairs to conduct at the basilisk exhibit. Major Brook Reynolds is head of security for the zoo and says, "We are investigating how firearms were brought into the facility and are conducting a full evaluation of our security measures and systems."" |

>>>>>[I've had dealings with Special Agent Dietrich. He was always someone you could trust among a sea of corrupt law enforcement officers.]<<<<<
>>>>>[I have a contact who ran into Dietrich the other day who said he was acting erratically and talking nonsense about losing access to his magic. He had a whole lot of cyberware to have much magical skill, and no one ever knew him to be a practitioner.]<<<<<
