Discrimination Hampers Justice, Proclaims Protester By Jillian Ver DeKamp, IIN March 15, 2075 (IIN) — A bar brawl turned deadly tonight in the Redmond Barrens. The Speakeasy Bar is no stranger to violence, especially between two gangs that frequent the establishment, the 162s and the Blood Mountain Boys. The 162s are notorious for only allowing Krieger strain HMHVV-infected metahumans, often called ghouls, among their ranks. Witnesses, who asked to remain anonymous, claim the 162s picked a fight with a regular patron, Dell Bradstone, and a number of unknown associates with him. Knives and guns were quickly drawn, and five of the 162s were slain in the brawl. Gorgeous George, a bouncer at the Speakeasy Bar, said this kind of violence is particularly dangerous even to those not drawn into the fray. "The 162s sometimes get involved in some of the more violent moments here, you know? I don’t know they can always help it. But their blood is a problem. We had a bartender who swears she got infected after a knifing a few years ago, but I don’t know that I believe it." Detective Samantha Spears of Knight Errant says, "At this point we suspect this is a situation of self-defense, but we have a group of individuals who fled the scene where deaths were involved. We are particularly interested in speaking with Dell Bradstone to see what he knows about these other individuals. If anyone has any information about his current whereabouts, please contact commcode GTA-CLUE." Doctor Barbara Ellis, Krieger strain HMHVV-positive, led a small protest outside the bar this evening. "Once again we have HMHVV-positive individuals dead, and Knight Errant is doing the bare minimum to seek justice. We are still people. We still have rights. We are not monsters, but so many times society's biases force HMHVV-positive people into poverty and desperation. There are monsters here tonight, but they did not leave with the coroner," proclaims Dr. Ellis. Knight Errant Security Services is a division of Ares Macrotechnology, a AAA-rated transnational megacorporation with the city law enforcement contract for the Seattle metroplex. Governor Brackhaven announced KESS as the replacement for Lone Star Security Services in 2072.

(IIN) — A bar brawl turned deadly tonight in the Redmond Barrens. The Speakeasy Bar is no stranger to violence, especially between two gangs that frequent the establishment, the 162s and the Blood Mountain Boys.
