Inspired by the hadozee from classic Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition Spelljammer campaign setting. Source: adapted by Charles W. Plemons III HadozeeHadozee are a simian race known for their insulting tirades but amazing ability as crewmen able to glide around the deck on patagia. Physical Description: Hadozee, or "deck apes," are tall, slender, tailless apelike humanoids. They are covered with brown hair, including a shaggy mane that surrounds their face. The hadozee mouth is a protruding muzzle with several long fangs. They have a broad flap of skin that runs from the creature's arms to its legs. This flap can be drawn tight by raising the arms, giving the hadozee a limited gliding ability. Society: Hadozee are rude, reserving their coarse commentary only in the presence of elves and the hadozee's employers. When outside these controlling influences, however, they can utter continuous stream of insults and derision, with tongues sharp enough to make the most seasoned spelljammer notice. Relations: Hadozee prefer to join the crews of other nations. They are particularly fond of elves as employers. Alignment and Religion: Hadozee often embrace chaos but tend toward good or neutrality. They gravitate toward deities of freedom, travel, or nature. Adventurers: Hadozee are extremely diligent workers and are respected throughout the Known Spheres for their willingness to work as hard as is needed to get the job done. They do not shirk their responsibilities in combat, either, and most hadozee work both as crewmen and as mercenaries. Hadozee are frequently clerics, fighters, or rogues and often multiclass as fighter/rogues or fighter/clerics. Male Names: Konn, Koto, Tuk Female Names: Ani, Bee, Dashi, Esh Hadozee Racial Traits+2 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma: Hadozee are incredibly nimble and perceptive, but they are also crass, rude, and insulting. Hadozee cannot gain height with these wings alone; it merely coasts in other directions as it falls. If subjected to a strong wind or any other effect that causes a creature with gliding wings to rise, it can take advantage of the updraft to increase the distance it can glide. Low-Light Vision: Hadozee can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light. Nimble Manuevers: Hadozee receive a +2 racial bonus on Acrobatics skill checks.
