GARY DEAN MCDONALD |

Caucasian Male
1. What is your physical description? |
---|
Gary Dean McDonald
2. How did you end up a corrections officer? |
---|
After a failed attempt to be a cop this was the closest thing I could find. I can assert authority over others that I believe are less important than myself and generally don’t have to work that hard.
3. Outside of work, what hobby, interest, or sport occupies most of your time, and why do you find it interesting? |
---|
Shooting, camping, cooking on an open fire. I like to keep to myself and shut out the rest of the world. I like to watch baseball, but very rarely every play.
4. What motivates you to get out of bed and keep going each day? |
---|
Not much. I’d like to move up the ranks at work, but it isn't that important. I use my vacation days as soon as I get them and generally do as little as possible. I'm looking forward to state retirement when I can get some land way out in the county and go off the grid.
5. What is your greatest fear, and how do you react when you face it? |
---|
Manual labor. Its just so hard. I prefer to sit... a lot. When supervisors give me crap work because I'm late it puts me in a terrible mood and I usually take it out on the inmates.
6. When people talk about you behind your back, and they do, what are they saying? |
---|
Probably how lazy I am. Possibly how I'm going to die alone. I'd imagine they are saying much worse things, but I don't really care. I interact with very few people, so the number that can talk crap about me is very low.
7. Everyone indulges in something from cheating on a diet to something dangerous; what is your guilty pleasure or vice? |
---|
I like to hassle the inmates. I'll give them extra work or take their commissary items when I know no one is looking. I don't have this authority, but it makes me feel better. I also like to smoke cigars, but I lie about it on my insurance forms so I'm hoping no one ever notices.
8. You depend upon others because you lack what vital ability? |
---|
I don't work hard. I need to have other people around to cover for the lack of work that I do. I'm also not good at staying on track... What was the question?
9. Who has hurt you most over the years, and why do you deserve it? |
---|
In my early years when I was trying to get into the police academy I had a best friend that was going through the program with me. His name was Chuck. We were going to go through the process together, but he advanced to the academy when I was held back and never thought twice about it. That guy sucks.
10. Your father has pushed you to attain the sort of athletic glories he was unable to in his youth. What sport is your specialty? |
---|
In middle school I played baseball. As a catcher I could participate and didn't have to do all that much, which made me happy. I was decent but a crappy hitter. My pops was pissed when I didn't make the high school team, said I didn't try hard enough. He was right.
