Tharivol is a young, adventurous elf with an innate ability with magic. He is fascinated with the arcane and seeks to increase his knowledge of magic and ability to manipulate it. He has left the relative safety of elven lands to walk about the world of man; mankind is known for its rapid ability to learn magic, and Tharivol hopes to pick up the trend. Tharivol sees himself as champion of good, and he has an inborn ability to channel destructive magic, which he wields against evil forces with relish. Although a genius, he is somewhat flighty, eager to drop whatever in pursuit of magical knowledge or power. He is fluent in half a dozen languages and well-versed in arcane lore, alchemy, and herbalism.

The young elf is of high elf heritage with glossy black hair and emerald eyes. He keeps his hair trimmed short and out of the way. For a studious spellcaster, Tharivol is in remarkably good shape and moves with some measure of power and grace. He is curteous and polite, with an easy smile. By both human and elven standards he is attractive. He generally wears functional clothing with pouches and pockets; he avoids wearing robes. His longsword rides his hip and a bow and quiver are slung across his back.
