Porter was born to a poor farming family in the mountains of _________. Born
somewhere in the middle of a string of siblings, Porter had to help raise the
younger children and perform the manual labor of the farm. Without any real time
spent alone, Porter developed a great devotion to his family; honor became
very important in his life.
Many years ago Porter had traveled with his father to the nearby city of
________ to sell a portion of the harvest. On the return trip, their encampment
was attacked by a small band of double axe-wielding orcs who killed his father in
cold blood and left Porter critically injured. With his family's honor as his
only life force, he was able to stumble the remaining 10 miles to the farm where
he most certainly should have died. Kept alive only by his greed for revenge,
Porter was able to make a slow and painful recovery over the course of two years.
Upon regaining his strength, Porter began a quest to hunt down the orc which had
killed his father. After another two long years, Porter was finally able to catch
up with and shadow the orcs. He followed them for a month,
learning their ways and devising the best way to kill them. One night when the
moon was non-existent, Porter slipped his way into the orc encampment and
carefully slit the throats of all of the orcs as they lay sleeping. Porter
killed them all in this manner except for one, the one that had killed
his father. Porter took the double axe from beside the orc and placed his
boot on the orc's chest. The orc awakened quickly but could not stand.
He reached for his axe but did not find it. Porter then placed the blade of the
axe on the orc's forehead and spoke.
"Thou shalt die by the blade which hath murdered my father," Porter whispered,
"Hath thou any last words?" As the orc began to speak, Porter flipped the axe
around and drove the blade deep into the orc's skull. Porter then whispered
again, "Thou hath not the honor for last words." With that he extracted the axe
from the orc's skull and began the long journey back home, leaving all the orc
gold behind.
