Locran's Amazing Magical Delay (Abjuration, Evocation) | ||||||||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
This powerful spell is a modified form of the Contingency spell. When cast, it sets a spell to take affect when certain conditions are met (similar to a Magic Mouth). The spell may be cast on a creature, object, or area as the caster desires. Any spell known to the caster (up to the 8th level) may be set to be triggered. Even spells that cause damage can be used. Such spells give the triggering creature a +2 bonus to save against it. The spell is cast along with the spell that will take effect. When cast, it is given up to four triggers. These can be as specific as the caster wishes, but the spell cannot distinguish between alignments, class, level, etc. It can recognize descriptions (i.e. "Detonate when touched by a someone wearing metal armor", etc.). When this spell is triggered, the delayed spell takes immediate effect. The material component for this spell is a pinch of diamond powder worth at least 5,000 gp plus the material components for the spell to be delayed. Only one spell of this type may be cast on any one thing at one time. This goes for people as well as objects.
