Korak's Shadow gives the recipient a 30% chance to Hide in Shadows. If the recipient is a thief or ranger, then he gets a 40% bonus to his Hide in Shadows roll.

This spell works by cloaking the recipient in shadows. It is extremely beneficial to a shade or a vampire. A vampire is not affected adversely by sunlight while the spell is in effect. A shade gains the powers of a shade in shadowy light as stated in the 1st Edition Monster Manual II.

The material component of this spell is simple; both the caster and the recipient must be within shadows as the spell is cast.
