After a rained out week, it is back against WKU HAF. The Rhinos get a big lead, see it piddled away, and then pull away at the end. Quentin Hollis (4-4) and Jason Trombly (2-3, 3 RBI) are the big sticks this game.

Final Score: Rhinos 14; HAF 5

Another blowout. Never really in doubt. Lots of hitting: Rob Levesque (3-3), Jason Trombly (2-2-), Jonathan Tabor (1-1), and Tim Jones (3-3) were all perfect at the plate.

Once again, the WKU HAF team shows up on the schedule. Once again, an early Rhinos lead evaporates. But, once again, the Rhinos pull it out at the end with timely hitting and fielding. TJ Massey (4-5, 2 RBI), Rick Grieve (4-4, 5 RBI). and Tim Jones (4-4, 3 RBI) come up big.

Final Score: Rhinos 17; WKU HAF 11

The Rhinos wait an hour and then take on the HEAT. The Rhinos romp to the best start in franchise history. Ben Wallace (3-3), Tim Jones (3-3), TJ Massey (3-3, HR, 3 RBI), and Reid McLaughlin (3-3) were all perfect at the plate.

Final Score: Rhinos 17; BG HEAT 2

Forfeit game. The Other Guys are afraid of us.

8

Forfeit game. The Other Guys ducked us this game.

9-0

The Rhinos start out a lot shaky--probably the winning streak getting to their heads. They are down 2-8 before the bats come alive. But once the train starts, it does not stop. Hitting heroes: Rob Dye (2-3), Tim Jones (4-4), TJ Massey (2-2), Quentin Hollis (3-3). Ben Grey (2-2), and Tyler Pruden (3-4).

Final Score: Rhinos 20; Kapstone Containers 12

9-1

In the closest, best defensive game I've seen in a long time in softball, the Rhinos get down by 2 early, come back, take the lead going into the top of the 7th, give up the lead, have a chance to win the whole thing (men on 2nd and 3rd, one out) in the bottom of the 7th, and then lose it in the 8th by 2. Whooooooo. Take a deep breath and then come back out again. Tyler Pruden provides 3 of the team's 6 RBI, while Rob Levesque (3-3), Karl Case (1-1), and Tim Jones (2-2) are all perfect at the plate.

Final Score: Rhinos 6; One Hit Wonders 8

11
10-1

Another blowout, easy-on-the-nerves game. Karl Case (3-4), Ben Simms (3-4), Jason Marshall (2-3), Tim Jones (2-3), Rick Grieve (2-3), Kalu Njoku (2-3), and Kacy Clemmons (2-3) all had good nights at the plate.

Final Score: Rhinos 17; BG HEAT 0

12
10-2

In the final game of the regular season, the Rhinos got down big 1-8, and then clawed their way back to respectability. They were actually almost run ruled in the 6th inning before hitting their way out of danger. However, they could not hit their way back into the lead. Karl Case (2-4), TJ Massey (HR, 3 RBI), Reid McLaughlin (2-3), Kacy Clemmons (2-3), and Quentin Hollis (2-3, HR) led the way offensively. Despite the loss, the Rhinos sew up the #1 seed in the tournament, mostly because the team they played tonight, One Hit Wonders, was moved up to Open II.

Final Score: Rhinos 8; One Hit Wonders 13

13 11-2

First game of the playoffs always brings out the jitters (and the guys on vacation...). The Rhinos get home field, and start off shaky. They can only push across one run in the 1st. Then, the second inning hit. Thirteen batters went to the plate for the Rhinos, culminating in a 9-run inning. They did not look back. Offensively, the Rhinos were paced by Jason Marshall (3-3), Rob Levesque (2-3-, 4 RBI), TJ Massey (2-3, HR), and Karl Case (3-4, one HR shy of the cycle...).

Final Score: Rhinos 17; Kapstone Containers: 2
