Rhinos Game Summaries, Summer 2008

Game Number Record
Summary
1
0-1
Things were looking good for the home team Rhinos, as they won the coin toss, played good defense, and hit a little bit. They had a 6-4 lead going into the fourth inning. And then the wheels came off. It always seems as though the Rhinos have one inning against BG Assembly where they give up 10+ runs, and it happened again tonight. Fourteen runs later, the Rhinos were down 18-6, and just could not recover. Sean Rubino (0-1) took the loss for the Rhinos. Final Score: Rhinos 8, BGA 20.

1-1
The Rhinos were very happy to see BG Metalforming walk up to play in the nightcap. After watching the pitcher warm up, the umpire walked over to Coach Rick Grieve and asked him to have the team swing away. And, yes, it was that bad. Sean Rubino (1-1) go the win, and Tyler Pruett (S1) got the save, and wanted everyone to know that he struck out a 62-year-old guy--twice! Final Score: Rhinos 12, BGM 0.

2-1
The visiting Rhinos once again found themselves one player short of a team. They fielded nine guys for the game, but got out to a good start and never really looked back. Oh sure, it looked bleak when CLC went ahead 11-10, but the Rhinos found their finishing kick and dropped in nine runs in the last inning to close it out. Sean Rubino (2-1) once again takes the win. Final Score: Rhinos 19, CLC 14.

2-2
The visiting Rhinos just could not find a rhythm until late in the game, when it was all over but the shouting. Tidballs jumped to an early lead and cruised to a five-inning run rule victory. The only highlight was Quentin Hollis' solo homer in the fifth. Sean Rubino (2-2) took the loss. Final Score: Rhinos 10, Tidball's: 22.
