Exam dates	Dates for the first two exams will be announced at least one week in advances.
	The final exam is scheduled for Tuesday May 12, 8:00-10:00.

Course Description:

• A study of  the algorithmic approach to the analysis of problems and their computational solutions using a high level structured language Java. Labs are included in the course.

Course Outcome:

• Understand basic concepts of object oriented programming, such as class, object, reference;
• Be able to design an algorithmic solution for a simple problem;
• Be able to translate an algorithm into a Java application;
• Be able to define and call a Java method;
• Be familiar control structures of a programming language;
• Be familiar with basic syntax of Java programming language;
• Be familiar with the application of arrays;
• Be familiar with an IDE platform, such as Eclipse.

Course Policy:

1. Submit your homework on time. If you have to submit homework after the due day, you must get the permission from the instructors Two days before the due day.
2. Students are responsible for attending the exams on time. If you cannot attend the exam, you must get permission from the instructor, and present documented excuse.
3. If the instructor is late, students should remain in the class orderly working (studying) until the instructor arrive or until the class is dismissed officially by a person of authority.
4. No food or drink is permitted in the classroom, and no mobile phone usage in the classroom.
5. Homework must be done by individual effort. Plagiarism and other forms of academic dishonesty will result in F for the course. Copying code from other students or the Internet is not allowed.
