Phil 427/G : Philosophy of Law
( Spring 2012 )
PAPER #2
Details : 10-15 pp.
(1.5 space, Times New Roman font) research paper on a student-selected topic [35 pts.]
Due : Friday, May 11, 2012, 4 p.m., in CH 300
Details: The
subject of the paper is open, so long as it is jointly agreed upon by
the student and the professor. It may also coincide with your
class presentation topic (law, responsibility, & addiction OR
rights, terrorism, & torture). If you choose one of the latter
topics, use the assigned articles or readings to focus more narrowly on
a specific theme or problem, and then develop this with the aid
of additional sources (books and/or articles -- not
websites). The paper should have a bibliography of 5-6 items, at
least, with about half of these going beyond the assigned class
readings. The paper should be composed and written like a formal
research paper, with footnotes or endnotes containing references to the
literature and clarifications or expansions of points made in the text.
Contact the professor if you have questions or need assistance.
