CLARINET COURSE
(MUS ED majors take 7 semesters of lessons, BM Performance majors take 8 semesters of lessons, BA majors take 6 semesters of lessons, music minors take a minimum of 3 semesters of secondary lessons, and students seeking to major in music but who do not meet pre-college performance standards take a variable number of semesters of secondary lessons). Since scales are the building blocks of much of music, students are required to maintain facility in scale studies from previous semesters.
Students may enter and exit this course of study at various levels. The focus is to have the student progress to a higher level of repertoire through their semesters of study. For example, this may mean that a student begins in LEVEL 1 and graduates performing LEVEL 3 repertoire or begins at LEVEL 1 and graduates performing LEVEL 4 repertoire. This discretion of repertoire choice is left to the instructor, with input from the student.

SAXOPHONE COURSE
