About Me
I am an assistant professor of political science at Western Kentucky University. My broad
field is American Politics, with a focus on media and politics, political behavior, public
opinion, political psychology, and state government. I am also the co-advisor for the
WKU College Republicans.
My college career began at the University of Georgia, where I received a BA in political
science, and continued at Florida State University, where I received my Ph.D. I am
married to a lovely young lady named Candice. We are both from Cordele, GA, a small
town in South Georgia. We don’t have kids, but we do have a lively Boston Terrier
named George that keeps us very busy. I am a huge sports fan, so most weekends you
will find me in front of the TV watching whatever is in season. My favorite teams are the
Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and Cleveland Browns.
