2010 STUDENT PAPER PRIZE CONTEST
KENTUCKY PHILOSOPHICAL ASSOCIATION
$100 PRIZE
Eligibility:
Contest open to any undergraduate student who attends a college or university in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Topic:
The essay may be on any topic within the field of philosophy, or may consist of the application of philosophical principles to some other field; however, this essay should exhibit an appropriate degree of philosophical development becoming of an advanced undergraduate student. Only one essay may be submitted by each entrant.
Manuscript Guidelines:
Limit of 4, 000 words
Prepared for anonymous review-only the title should appear on the paper. Author's name should appear with title of paper only in cover letter
For hard copy submissions, send three (3) copies
For electronic (e-mail) submissions, include paper as an attachment in .doc (MS Word) or .rtf. Be sure to put "KPA" in the subject line.
Deadline:
All entries must be postmarked or emailed by MARCH 19, 2010.
Awards:
First Place Winner: Will receive $100 and read the essay at the KPA Spring 2010 meeting, April 17.
Runner-Up: Will receive a letter of recognition from the Kentucky Philosophical Association.Send submissions to:
