My Experience Teaching in China

This winter I had the pleasure of teaching Constitutional Law in China at Linyi Normal University. I primarily focused on Civil Liberties with a focus on the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and the rights of criminals. My experience was truly enlightening and broadened my perspective about the law while deepening my appreciation for the rights I have in the United States. Below you will find essays from 8 Chinese students who wrote about what they had learned from my class. These students demonstrated amazing English abilities and a solid understanding of the law. I encourage you to read these short essays to see how foreign students perceive American civil liberties.
