Murder, Kidnapping, Explosion in Redmond

(IIN) — More violence rocked the Redmond district at around 4:00 a.m. this morning. Citizen Rodney Jenkins was kidnapped in front of his home by four heavily-armed men. Mr. Jenkins' bodyguard, a dwarven woman called Isha, was killed in the gunfight. Another bodyguard, known in the Sprawl as Little Rick, was severely injured and is recovering at a DocWagon facility.

The entire event was captured by the eyeware recording system in Little Rick's cybereyes. Knight Errant has released the unedited video in hopes that the perpetrators will be recognized (see below). Unfortunately, there is no audio recording.

The video shows three individuals exit a red GMC Bulldog Step-Van and open fire at Mr. Jenkins and his bodyguards—an Arabic man in his early thirties armed with an assault rifle, a human-sized man in a chameleon suit armed with a bow, and a black-haired Caucasian troll armed with another assault rifle. A dark-skinned man could be seen in the driver seat of the van. A trio of GM-Nissan Doberman drones and a pair of MCT-Nissan roto-drones are seen debarking from the van. At one point, Isha throws a flash-bang grenade at the assailants, and the troll throws it back. After a brief firefight, Rodney Jenkins is seen surrendering before Isha and Little Rick are gunned down. The current whereabouts and condition of Mr. Jenkins is unknown. His car has also been stolen and a city-wide bulletin is out for a green Mercury Comet with plate number 134-CBLQ.

Knight Errant Detective Ethan Sharpe states, "We are very positive about our chances of identifying and arresting the assailants. The video is very clear, and two of the assailants are very visible in the streetlight. We are encouraging anyone with information regarding any of these men to contact us anonymously at commcode GTA-CLUE. There is a 2,000¥ reward offered for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of any of these men."
