SPECIAL ABILITIES

Blade Sense (Ex) Gain dodge bonus to AC against attacks made against her with light blades.

Bleeding Attack (Ex) Living target of sneak attack takes additional damage each round at the start of its turn. Bleeding can be stopped by a DC 15 Heal check or the application of any effect that heals hit points. Bleeding damage from this attack does not stack with itself. Bleeding damage bypasses any damage reduction the creature might possess.

Close Combatant (Ex) Gain attack and damage rolls with weapons in the close weapon group.

Death Attack (Ex) Study victim for 3 rounds (standard actions) and then make a sneak attack with a melee weapon that successfully deals damage; attack has additional effect of paralyzing or killing (your choice). Death attack fails if target recognizes you as an enemy (although the attack might still be a sneak attack if the target is denied his Dexterity bonus to AC or is flanked). If the victim fails a Fortitude save, he either dies or is rendered helpless and unable to act for 1d6 rounds plus 1 round per assassin level. If the save is successful, attack still deals damage as sneak attack. Once completing 3 rounds of study, attack must be made within the next 3 rounds. If death attack fails (or victim makes save), or the attack is not made within 3 rounds, an addition 3 rounds of study are required to retry.

Evasion (Ex) If you make a successful Reflex save against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, instead take no damage. Must be wearing light or no armor and cannot be helpless.

Fast Stealth (Ex) Move at full speed using Stealth without penalty.

Mobility (Ex) You get a +4 dodge bonus to Armor Class against attacks of opportunity caused when you move out of or within a threatened area.

Poison Use (Ex) Cannot accidentally poison self applying poison.

Sneak Stab (Ex) A knife master focuses his ability to deal sneak attack damage with daggers and similar weapons to such a degree that he can deal more sneak attack damage with those weapons at the expense of sneak attacks with other weapons. When he makes a sneak attack with a dagger, kerambit, kukri, punching daggers, starknife, or swordbreaker dagger, he uses d8s to roll sneak attack damage instead of d6s. For sneak attacks with all other weapons, she uses d4s instead of d6s. This ability is identical in all other ways to sneak attack, and supplements that ability.

Uncanny Dodge (Ex) Cannot be caught flat-footed, nor lose Dex bonus to AC if attacker is invisibile. Still loses Dex bonus to AC if immobilized or if opponent successfully uses feint.

History Not all gnomes appreciate bright colors, illusions, and pranks. There exists a darker breed, the dread gnomes. Tagre hails from these wicked fey, and he turns his talents to mastering the blade. He is always underestimated for his diminutive size, and few fear his small dagger; however, he has spent decades learning anatomy and the perfect places to cut for maximum effect. He inflicts grevious wounds that often continue to bleed profusely. He has become a master assassin and seeks opportunities to spread destruction. He has sought out Thrain the slayer after hearing of his tremendous exploits and combat skills, and Tagre hopes to learn from the best.
