Alternate Form (Su): A lycanthrope can shift into animal form as though using the polymorph spell on itself, though its gear is not affected, it does not regain hit points for changing form, and only the specific animal form indicated for the lycanthrope can be assumed. It does not assume the ability scores of the animal, but instead adds the animal's physical ability score modifiers to its own ability scores. A lycanthrope also can assume a bipedal hybrid form with prehensile hands and animalistic features.
Changing to or from animal or hybrid form is a standard action. A slain lycanthrope reverts to its humanoid form, although it remains dead. Separated body parts retain their animal form, however. Afflicted lycanthropes find this ability difficult to control (see Lycanthropy as an Affliction, below), but natural lycanthropes have full control over this power.
A dire werewolf can assume the form of a dire wolf or wolf-humanoid hybrid.
A dire werewolf in dire wolf form has space/reach 10 ft./5 ft. In hybrid form, a dire werewolf has space/reach 10 ft./10 ft. In animal or hybrid form, a dire werewolf has damage reduction 10/silver.
In hybrid and animal form, a dire werewolf gains +14 Strength, +4 Dexterity, and +6 Constitution.
Aura of Resolve (Su): A paladin of freedom is immune to compulsion effects. Each ally within 10 feet of him gains a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against compulsion effects.
Barbarian Abilities: Fast movement; improved uncanny dodge (lvl 11 to flank); trap sense +2; uncanny dodge.
Curse of Lycanthropy (Su): Any humanoid or giant hit by a dire werewolf's bite attack in animal or hybrid form must succeed on a DC 15 Fortitude save or contract lycanthropy.
Dire Werewolf Traits: Low-light vision.
Mettle (Su): A pious templar's special blessing allows her to shrug oft magical effects that would otherwise harm her. If a pious templar makes a successful Will or Fortitude saving throw that would normally reduce the spells effect, she suffers no effect from the spell at all. Only those spells with a Saving Throw entry of "Will partial," "Fortitude half," or similar entries can be negated through this ability.
Paladin of Freedom Abilities: Aura of good; detect evil at will; divine grace; divine health; lay on hands (42 hp/day); turn undead (Clr 3) 7/day.
Powerful Charge (Ex): When you charge, if your melee attack hits, it deals an extra 1d8 points of damage (if you're Medium). For Large creatures, the extra damage is 2d6; for Huge, 3d6; for Gargantuan, 4d6; and for Colossal, 6d6. This feat works only when you make a charge. It does not work when you're mounted. If you have the ability to make multiple attacks on a charge, you may apply this extra damage to only one of those attacks in a round.
Rage (Ex): 3/day—Fly into a rage, gaining +4 Strength, +4 Constitution, +2 morale bonus on Will saves, and -2 penalty to Armor Class for 9 rounds (12 rounds in wolf or hybrid form). Afterwards become fatigued (-2 penalty to Strength, -2 penalty to Dexterity, cannot charge or run) for the duration of the encounter.
Scent (Ex): A lycanthrope has the scent ability in any form.
Smite Evil (Su): 5/day—Make a normal melee attack with +6 attack and +16 damage.
Spell-Like Abilities: 1/week—remove disease. Caster level 6th.
Trip (Ex): A dire werewolf in animal form that hits with a bite attack can attempt to trip the opponent (+19 check modifier) as a free action without making a touch attack or provoking an attack of opportunity. If the attempt fails, the opponent cannot react to trip the dire werewolf.
True Believer Feat: Once per day when you are about to make a saving throw you may declare that you are using this feat to gain a +2 insight bonus on that saving throw.
This feat also allows you to use a relic of the deity you worship.
Wolf Empathy (Ex): Communicate with wolves and dire wolves, and +4 racial bonus on Charisma-based checks against wolves and dire wolves.
