 Character Background: Raised in the Northen land of Damara, Fodel learned to be independent at a young age. He watched his family be slaughtered by a goblin raiding party that was bolstered by zombie minions. Taking up his father's scythe, the young man laid waste to the goblins and zombies around him, completely engulfed in the need to slay the invaders. He was found by an old mercenary hours later, still hacking at the corpse of a goblin adept. The mercenary took the teen in and taught him how to fight like a trained soldier. Despite extensive training in conventional weapons like swords and maces, Fodel insisted on wielding the scythe in preference to all others.
Fodel set out to explore the world, and ranged as far abroad as fabled Waterdeep. The City of Splendors held little interest, and his stay was not long. He made a name for himself hunting trolls in the Silver Marches with the Flame Bearers company. He is still regarded as a hero by many of the farmers and villagers of the region.
Fodel has parted company with the Flame Bearers and seeks new adventure with new companions. He believes that he has more in store for him than slaying trolls. He is unsure of his destiny but is eager to find it. He will gladly lend his blade to a worthy cause.
