Game System | Dungeons & Dragons

The one, the only, Dungeons & Dragons. I've played tons of RPGs over the years, but I always come back to this one. By far my favorite version is 3.5 edition. I was introduced to Dungeons & Dragons when I was ten years old and played and collected nearly every product that came out for years. In 2002, I was fortunate to become a Dungeon Master and begin playing with the best group of players a DM could ever want.

Campaigns

Knights of the Moose - June 2002 - 4 games - Campaign Site

This was a short-lived campaign when our gaming group first founded. We played for a few nights in The Sunless Citadel module. After a bit of a rocky start, we shifted player positions and started a new campaign.

Brotherhood of the Badger - August 2002 - 77 games - Campaign Site

This was my first campaign which started at 10th level in Cormyr. The party soon ended up in Dagger Falls and undertook the City of the Spider Queen adventure. With a campaign of this length, we had players come and go. The campaign ended with the party pseudo-retired at Badger Keep and some long term characters embroiled in a separate adventure for another day.

Realms Beyond - May 2004 - 7 games - Campaign Site

In an about face from the Badgers campaign, we decided to play a party that allowed evil characters. We also started using Gestalt Rules from Unearthed Arcana. The campaign was a blast, but it was doomed from the start. The evil party ended up on the wrong side of the law and hunted down by the authorities of Amn.

Hammer of Glory - July 2004 - 36 games - Campaign Site

This Gestalt campaign used the premise that all the PCs were followers of the Triad (Tyr, Ilmater and Torm) and operated for the church out of Scornubel. This was a great campaign where the party ended up lost and stranded in Kara-Tur after a misfiring portal incident. They eventually got catapulted into the Nine Hells where the majority of the party met its untimely demise when caught in the middle between warring hell dragons and war trolls.

Fallen Kingdoms - April 2005 - 6 games - Campaign Site

This Gestalt campaign was short-lived. The entire party was dwarven or gnome and engaged in a low-magic dungeon-crawl. The campaign was a lot of fun, but a bad encounter left everyone "living impaired".

Dragonbane - June 2005 - 37 games - Campaign Site

Another Gestalt campaign, this pitted the party against the Rage of dragons and the Cult of the Dragon. It spanned from Vaasa to the ruins of Myth Drannor and a showdown with archmage Sammaster himself. The campaign ended with the party destroying Sammaster's physical form and Kaganis sacrificing himself to destroy the Pool of Radiance and end the Rage of dragons.

Ultimate Showdown - May 2006 thru November 2006 - 5 games - Campaign Site

This Gestalt campaign was our secondary campaign, played once every five game sessions. It has no continuity or plotline, it is simply Epic-level gestalt PCs slugging it out with whatever nasty being(s) the DM can roll up. The campaign ended because epic-level gestalt game play is extraordinarily slow; we decided to find more fast-paced games for our 5th-week games.

Age of Worms - May 2006 - 99 games - Campaign Site

A non-gestalt campaign using Paizo Publishing's Age of Worms adventure path, converted to Forgotten Realms.

Masters of the Universe - November 2006 - Special Campaign - 2 games - Campaign Site

This campaign was not intended for every week regular play. It is setup for one-shot adventures and encounters on our Open Table nights and gaming events. Characters are based on the Mattel Masters of the Universe toys, with some of our own liberties sprinkled in. This is a non-gestalt, epic campaign.

Aliens vs. Predator - October 2008 - Special Campaign - 2 games - Campaign Site

This campaign was not intended for every week regular play. It is setup for one-shot adventures and encounters on our Open Table nights and gaming events. Characters are based on the 20th Century Fox—Aliens and Predator franchises, with some of our own liberties sprinkled in. This uses a hybrid 3.5e system incorporating several 4e elements as well as other tweaks.

H1 - Keep on the Shadowfell - March 2009 - 12 games - Campaign Site

Our first game using Dungeons & Dragons 4E rules, which ended in a TPK.

Oriental Adventures - September 2009 - 9 games - Campaign Site

A non-gestalt campaign set in Kara-Tur. This was a mini-campaign that ran a couple of months.

Pukana La'Aina - May 2010 - 15 games - Campaign Site

A non-gestalt campaign set in a custom game world with heavy Polynesian influence. This was a mini-campaign that ran a couple of months.

Dark Sun - December 2010 - 11 games - Campaign Site

Our second foray into 4th Edition rules with much better success utilizing the burned world of Athas as our base.

In Search of Adventure - August 2011 - 30 games - Campaign Site

Old school roleplaying at it's best! This campaign returned to the 1983 Basic | Expert | Companion | Master | Immortal rules set and picked up the Gary Gygax classic adventure, B2: Keep on the Borderlands followed by X8: Drums of Fire Mountain.
