This powerful spell allows a wizard to enslave one being. The target must be touched, and it must be bound or otherwise restrained (held, drugged, or bound, etc.).

If cast on a creature from the caster's native plane, the target gets a normal saving throw. The victim gains a +1 bonus for every two levels or HD greater than that of the spell's caster. For every three levels the caster is above the level or HD of the victim, the target has a -1 penalty to the save. If the caster has twice or more levels or HD than the victim, then spell works automatically (if it passes any Magic Resistance). If the victim makes its saving throw, it can never be subjected to this spell by the same caster. It will also bear a great hatred toward the caster as well. Note that if the spell is countered by Magic Resistance, it can be attempted again later.

An enslaved being loses much of its free-will. It will never harm the caster in any way, and it will die to protect him. They will follow any commands given by the caster. Note that there is no telepathic link between the two. The caster may order the victim to commit suicidal acts. The spell can only be broken by the death of either party, a Wish, Remove Curse (from a higher level mage than the caster), or Banishment (if extra-planar). Note that a Dismissal spell will not break the bond. A victim freed of the spell will hate caster for obvious reasons.

The material components of this spell are a drop of the victim's blood, a lock of the caster's hair, a pinch of vampire dust, and a brain of an aboleth.
