When this spell is cast, the caster becomes "charged". The next creature to touch or be touched by the wizard takes 2 hp damage per level of the mage. The caster must touch the being to be affected with his hand or with some sort of electrical conductor (water, metal pole, etc.; please note that a wooden staff is non-conductive). If a creature touches the mage with its body or with a conductor, the spell takes effect. This includes metal weapons or even standing in the same body of water with the wizard. Obviously, this spell can be hazardous to one's allies.

This spell will affect only one creature. If more than one person or creature is touching the same conductor as the caster, then the closest being is affected. The csater cannot be harmed by his own spell. Creatures "shocked" may make a saving throw vs. spells to take only half damage. The only exception is a person in metal armor, he would not get a save. This spell can inflict a maximum of 40 hp of damage.
