PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT IN GOVERNMENT AND EDUCATION


Dr. Shoenfelt has worked with state and local governments as well as with the Department of Defense to improve employee performance.

Specific applications include:

  • Developing an armor crewman performance profile and evaluating entry level training for the U.S. Army Research Institute, Ft. Knox, Kentucky.
  • Training in Human Resource Management in a Total Quality Culture for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Conducting job analyses for the fire fighter position of Fire Apparatus Operator for the City of Louisville.
  • Developing and validating the promotional exam for Fire Apparatus Operators for the City of Louisville.
  • Developing the procedure and instrumentation for a goal setting process for professional development for public educators in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • Conducting training in performance appraisal, team building, and sexual harassment for administrators and supervisors in higher education.
  • Development of the process and instrumentation for faculty performance evaluation for promotion, tenure, and post-tenure review for the Department of Psychology, Western Kentucky University.
  • Program evaluation for the Warren County Family Court Truancy Court Diversion Program.
  • Program evaluation for the Warren County School Board Alternative to Suspension Program.
  • Program evaluation for the Bowling Green Housing Authority After School Program.
